AcoustiQuiet™ is a series of sound reducing rackmount quiet racks designed to enclose extra loud rack-mounted equipment. The AcoustiQuiet™ integrates acoustic material into the manufacturing process and traps and absorbs undesirable noise while still allowing free air movement and heat exchange within your environment.

The AcoustiQuiet™ series attenuates up to 15dBa of noise from the front of the unit and as much as 24dBa from the back. Use this to advantage when siting the server rack in the room where other people/desks will be located. The six top mounted fans remove up to 2kW of thermal heat.

Multiple sizes: 24u, 35u and 45u. Usable rail to rail depths 36"d and 42"d! The most versatile number of sizes on the market!!

  • Vented front and rear doors have full acoustic lining, (2) lockable swing door handles per door.
  • Temperature display mounted at upper LH corner includes temp probe on a 3ft lead wire. Optional temperature monitor can be purchased if desired.
  • Solid top panel includes a 6-fan tray (4" 52 cfm fans with guards). Foam sealing tape, acoustic lining.
  • Ships completely assembled, Unwrap and rack!

Sound and measuring sound, involves a lot of science and can be confusing. There are different sound waves, ranges, ways of measuring, etc. What you want is a decrease in the noise you hear, regardless of what sound waves are doing all about you.

The following widely accepted examples of SPL ratings
are very helpful in understanding "every day" noises we are familiar with and comparing to installing servers into the workplace:

40 dBA Human whisper
50 dBA Background noise in an average office, no talking
55 dBA Background noise in a busy office, without talking
60 dBA Normal conversational speech
45-50 dBA Typical noise from portable air conditioners
55 dBA Typical noise from portable air conditioners
62 dBA Typical noise from 2 x low form factor servers with average CPU loads
65 dBA Typical noise from 4 x low form factor servers with average CPU loads
68 dBA Typical noise from 8 x low form factor servers with average CPU loads (every doubling of the number of servers leads to a 3dBA increase in the total noise level)
70 dBA Noisy restaurant or heavy traffic or household vacuum cleaner
